Eleanor is 6 months and Hudsen is almost 3!

We can hardly believe that our little girl is now 6 months old! She is just growing up like a little champ. We had her Early Access appt. (appts she has because she was a premie) on the 18th and she did awesome! She is right on track with everything. Looking at her you would never know that she was a premie. She is a great little eatter too. She just had her first veggies today and LOVED the green beans. This also lead to a bath right after the feeding :) Right now Eleanor goes to bed between 6:30 and 7 pm and Daddy gets her out of bed around 7 am. Most of the time she wakes up around 6 am when we do but she just "talks" in her crib. She loves watching Hudsen and Charley play around. Right now she is definitely my calm child :)

It is also hard to believe that Hudsen is going to be 3 in December! He is being a great older brother. Right now he has given Eleanor the nickname of Baby Ella. We believe this is b/c one of his friends in school has a sister named Ella. Hudsen still loves watching sports with Dad. Last night Hudsen and I watched a football and he was a little frustrated that I could not tell him what each player was doing. Right now Hudsen is getting very excited about trick or treating. He is going to be a space rocket. Which at the current time he says he wants to fly space rockets when he grows up. We'll see :)

Having 2 kids adds more excitement at the Hummel house. Busy season for Jarren is right around the corner and I'm sure that will be quit interesting this year. I'm sure there will be lots of forts built and Cars/Toy Story watched :)

Over the weekend

Saturday turned out to be a more interesting day than was planned. My blood pressures went to above 160/110 causing the doctors to take some more blood work and to get me prepared to have baby (aka no more eatting or drinking). That was a little bit of a shock and I was not really mentally prepared for that news. Jarren's brother Brandonn came over and watched Hudsen so that Jarren could come to the hospital and be with me. I was able to relax and get my blood pressure down to a very normal rate. So no baby on Saturday. The good news from Saturday (besides no baby quit yet) was that Jarren and I were finally able to decide on a girls name. I think we needed a little pressure to decide. So now we have the boys name and the girls name decided on. We are keeping that a secret though :)

Sunday was a lot less eventful. Blood pressures were good and all monitoring with baby looked great. I'm a little on the puffy side, but no surprise there. Jarren's parents came up on Saturday and stayed through Sunday. It was so nice to have them here and to help with things around the house. Hudsen had a great time playing with cousin Payton (but those two always have a fun time playing together). It is so fun to watch them grow up!

I had more blood drawn today but I'm suspecting to have another uneventful day. Visitors are to be at a minimum right now which stinks but if that is what is best for baby and me, than that is the way it is. I can still watch TV so that is great. I know personally to stay away from watching Law and Order though because that just gets me too excited! :)

Hudsen has another adventure today. Jarren has his after busy season party so Hudsen is going over to the Eastman boys place and then going to Passover dinner. I'm sure those boys will have a lot of fun together playing basketball, soccer, football (pretty much anything that involves sports)

Again thank you to all our friends and family for being here for us. It is just the best feeling to know that we have so many people here that we can call if we need anything. Jarren and Hudsen still have the fridge/freezer full of food. Thank you for your prayers and keep praying that everything just continues to stay uneventful (for a little bit longer anyways ;)

Friday April 15th

Finally getting a chance to write a blog update. With all the lab work, monitoring, and resting it seems like the day gets away from me before I get a chance to write an update.

Lab work has all come back stable! WOOT WOOT. The doctors say I am boring and call me stable mable, which I will take as a complement :) The next round of lab work is on Monday. So there should be nothing new to report until then.

Jarren proved again to be super dad yesterday. Around 10 Hudsen's daycare called and said he was sick, so Jarren went and picked him up. The little guy did have a fever but was eatting and drinking well (which made my mind be at ease a little bit). Hudsen took a 4 hour nap for Jarren in the afternoon so he was able to work a little bit while he did that. He woke up from the nap with still a little fever but this morning there was no fever and he has been playing hard with Grandma Swanson all morning. She has been under the table for most of the morning playing cars with him. Oh the things Grandmas will do :)

Today I've been at the hosiptal for 2 weeks and have just a little over 2 weeks to go. We just keep on praying that I can continue to be stable mable!

wednesday

Yesterday was a big day. First baby has reached the milestone of 33 wks, yeah! Next I had an ultrasound and baby is measuring perfectly at 33wks and has an estimated weight of 5 lbs 1 oz right now. The high risk doctor was very happy with ultrasound, which made us very happy too. Im feeling good and Hudsen and Jarren are having some fun on "adventures" without mom. Hudsen gives me flying kisses and is making some friends with the doctors and nurses. We just keep on praying for baby and mommy to keep staying healthy. Tomorrow there are more labs.......but also the masters is on so something to look forward to :)

monday

first of all thank you to the visitors and everyone that have brought food for hudsen and jarren. that has been such a help! i had some blood work done this morning and everything is stable at this point which is great news! the lab work is looking for anything that is wrong with my liver and kidneys. so for now im just planning on being here for as long as possible. may 3rd is still the date for the c section. my spirits are up and we are very hopeful that baby will not be here for a few more weeks. prayer can be so powerful!

lab results

lab results came back not so good. everything is stilll great with baby but i will now be in the hospital on bedrest for the rest of the pregnancy. i know this is what is best for me and baby but it has been a little hard to handle. right now i am almost at 33 wks and very much want to make it to 37 wks. right now the doctors are just taking labs and if my levels fall to the severe zone they will deliver baby. so im laying on my left side and doing everything i can just to keep little baby in and growing. we again very much appreciate your prayers and postive words. ill still post when i can but they might be a little shorter because the are from my phone.

Thursday appt

Appt. went well. Baby is looking good on the monitor. Heart rate is 150. My BP is still high but not crazy for someone with preeclampsia. The appt. was a little long because of the lab work too (still waiting on those results). When I got home I was so tired that I took an hour nap. Who knew bed rest could be so tiring?

With everything looking good with baby, it is keeping my spirits up. I consider myself a pretty positive person, but I have to admit that last week I was a little down for a few days. Jarren, Hudsen and friends did a great job cheering me up, but I was little bit of a crying fool. Feeling much better these days. I still know that there is a little ways to go until we are ready for baby to come, but I just continue to pray everyday that baby is doing good and I will continue to be able to stay at home until we are ready for baby to be here.
