Hudsen's preschool graduation

Hudsen Hummel is a preschool graduate.  How is that possible?!  I know I've heard it a million times, "you'll blink and your kids will be grown", but now I'm starting to really grasp that saying.  The kids are growing up so fast!!

Hudsen did fantastic at his graduation ceremony.  He had a little mishap with his hat while singing the songs but recovered nicely after the teacher helped him put it back on.  While walking the stage to receive his diploma, he gave the crowd a little laugh by first looking to the left and then to the right and then running to get his diploma :).

Below is a picture of all the students after receiving their diplomas.

While walking off the stage, Hudsen showed a little of his class clown personality by dancing for the crowd to the music.

Attending the graduation was mom, dad and Eleanor, Grandma Pat and Grandpa Gary, Jeff and Lina, Brandon, Kari, Payton and Grace, and Morgan and Isabella. As soon as Hudsen saw all of us in the audience he got a huge smile on his face.  So awesome that so much family was there to support the little guy!

We are so proud of our little graduate and the smart, kind, determined little boy that he is.  Congrats Hudsen on your graduation from Generation Next preschool!!

Eleanor's 3rd birthday party

E is 3!!! Eleanor is a confident curly haired little 3 year old that brings joy and laughter to our lives every day. She marches to the beat of her own drum. She looks up to her brother and wants to constantly be around him and do what he does. Most of the time this does not bother Hudsen. She is currently a sophomore at Generation Next. Her best friends at school are Abby and Emory and she has a great time with her friend Lucy who lives just a few houses down the block.

On Saturday we celebrated E's birthday with family. She got a bunch of presents that were clothes (mostly pink of course :), frozen dolls and a Minnie. She loved opening all the presents. Mostly she had a great time with every one there and said thank you and gave hugs to everyone.

After the party, we took E, Hudsen, Payton, Grace, and Isabella to the zoo. E loves going to the zoo and it was a nice afternoon. The kids loved riding on the train and seeing all the animals. All the cousins have a great time together. They even sang E happy birthday.

Eleanor is a very special girl. Her smile is contagious. She has her moments where she has tantrums but for the most part she is a happy healthy 3 year old who is loved by so many!

Just like Dad

The other night Jarren came home from basketball.  He had on ISU shorts and a gray ISU basketball shirt.  Hudsen saw him and said "Dad I have clothes just like you."  Jarren and I were talking and 5 minutes later Hudsen appears dressed just like his Dad.  He had gone upstairs and changed.  He came over and said "I wanted to be just like you Dad."  Melted our hearts

A trip to the Science Center

Today we decided it was time for a family visit to the Science Center.  We spent our time there fishing, playing with play food, building Lego cars, and so many other fun activities.  The kids loved showing Dad everything they knew about the Science Center and Dad had a great time helping with all the fun things the kids wanted to do.

Valentine's Day

A little begind, but better late than never :). As a kid Valentine's day can be one of the best holidays.  You get to give your friends cards/gifts and they give you them too!!  It's a day where you get get told "how awesome you are" and "you're a great friend".  The kids loved Valentine's day this year.  They had a little Valentine's party at school.  Hudsen even had flowers for me at school when I picked him up.  That was awesome!!  We had a little celebration at home and made cupcakes.

love Valentine's day too.  Who doesn't love love :).  Jarren got me a great card, chocolates and flowers.. what more could a girl want!!!

Below are the kid's Valentine's pictures they took for their cards for dad.

E's first movie!!!

Technically this is not E's first movie at a theatre but the first time we tried to take her she only lasted for about 15 minutes of the actual movie.  This time she watched the while time and LOVED it!!!  Mom, Lina and E saw the movie Frozen.  The fact that the movie had a lot if singing and princess helped in keeping E's attention.  We all loved it!

Before heading to our movie date

Merry Christmas

Christmas 2013! The year where the kids were SO EXCITED for Christmas! I believe that may be every year now as I am 30 and I still get SO EXCITED for Christmas. Our Elf Sid visited us right after Thanksgiving and was here was us until Christmas. Every morning was fun to wake up to see where Sid had landed. Both Hudsen and Eleanor were ready to get up and come down the stairs to see Sid.

We decorated our tree right after Thanksgiving as well. It is always fun to look at the ornaments each year. Hudsen and Eleanor especially liked looking at them this year and being able to help.

Below are pictures from the Hummel family Christmas. All the cousins had a great time being together. Hudsen and Eleanor loved all their presents. It was a great time with family!

On the 23rd we celebrated our family Christmas with the four of us.  Again the kids loved opening presents.  Their smiles were priceless!!
