Try again

I'm going to try this again. As you can see it has been a very long time since the last time. This will be something to do for the new year.

Christmas this year was a little different. We were able to spend Christmas Eve with the Hummel's but were unable to go back to Graettinger to spend with the Swanson side. Turns out that was for the best. Grandma and Grandpa Swanson were without electricity for all of Christmas day! Uncle Jeff was there too. They spent a lot of time playing dominoes.

Hudsen got a ton of gifts so far for Christmas. Not to mention the gifts he got for his birthday. Right now our living room is more like a play area but we love it :)

Week 1

Hudsen and I both had very successful first weeks. He did a great job at daycare. Everyday I picked him up, Randa said he was a very sweet boy. The first day was a little tough on mom and dad to drop him off. I cried as soon as I stepped out of the door. Jarren did the drop offs everyday after that, except for on Friday. On Friday's Jarren gets to pick him up and see Hudsen's smiling face. Picking up is definitely the best!

The first week of work was good for me too. The people I work with are super nice. I get to eat lunch everyday with Jenny and I even got to answer 2 calls! It is exactly the type of job I was looking for. Nothing stressful and no overtime. It is great to get off work, pick up Hudsen, and still be home by 5:30. A lot different from public accounting.

Jarren had a good week too. Things are winding down at his job, so he was able to make it home by a little after 6 almost every night. On Friday, he was able to take a half a day so he could watch basketball, which made him very happy.

Today Jarren picked up Grandma Kim and Grandpa Dave from the airport. I was very jealous of the tan they both had from Hawaii! Uncle Jeff, Carolina and Carolina's mom also came and visited us today. It was great to get to see all of them.

First Blog Ever

This is my first blog attempt ever, so please forgive me if it is not as creative as other blogs have been. Today is just a relaxing Sunday. We are going over to Brandon and Kari's to watch selection Sunday and Jarren and Brandon are going to play a little one on one. About 2 years ago Kari got Brandon a basketball hoop for his birthday and it could have easily been a birthday present for Jarren too.

Tomorrow I start my first day at Continental Western Group. This means that Hudsen will be starting his first day at daycare. I have to admit I am a little sad about this, but I know that it will be good for both of us. We were lucky to find a in-home daycare provider that had great references from friends. I'm sure he will have a fun time during the day and I will be rushing home to get him. Jarren is going to be doing the dropping off and I will be doing the picking up.

The weather is beautiful today. Jarren mentioned that he can not wait until him and Hudsen will be able to play catch in the backyard. He is working on getting Hudsen to use his left hand :)
