Summer time FUN

With the summer time has come hot hot weather! This week the average temp was 97 and it felt even hotter than that. This led to some creativity with activities for the kids in the afternoon and the weekend. We colored A LOT, worked on spelling and read all the Berenstein books at least twice. There were trips to the library and the grocery store. Some fun in the pool and Lego building. On Sunday, Hudsen and I went to the Botanical Center. He loved it. We will have to visit again with Dad and Eleanor when it is not so toasty outside.

We also had 2 slumber parties this weekend. Uncle Jeffy and Aunt Lina spent the night on Friday night and then went to Hudsen's blast ball on Saturday morning. Hudsen was pretty pumped to have them at his game and he did a great job. He went after all the grounders and hit the ball over top of everyones heads one time when he was up to bat. Then on Saturday night Payton and Grace spent the night. The kids were all so good and slept through the night no problem. The big kids were up a little early but the little girls slept til 7. It was fun to have pancakes and fruit in the morning with everyone. A great way to start July!
