Fun in February

The weather this February has really led to some fun days outside. This weekend the weather was about 50 degrees on both Saturday and Sunday. Grandma Pat and Grandpa Gary came to stay with us this weekend. Jeff, Lina, Ben and their cousin Michael came to visit on Saturday afternoon and we quickly got outside to play. What could be better on a February afternoon than bubbles and a snowball-fight. I don’t know who had more fun, Hudsen, the adults or Charley. On Sunday the weather was so great that Hudsen and Dad went outside in the afternoon and played basketball. Dad had to get ready for his championship game that night (which his team ended up winning!).

It was still just a little too cold outside for Eleanor, but she still had fun inside playing with Mom. One of her favorite things to do right now is to play with the stackable toys. She likes to bang them together, chew them and knock them over when Hudsen stacks them up. Hudsen loves to watch her do this. They are both such great players!

Valentine’s Day was also this week. Hudsen had a great time bringing in cards to give his friends at school. He also sent his teachers flowers. His teachers really thought that was nice. Both kids wore their red that day and they were both very happy with their gifts they got from Mom and Dad. Hudsen got a pair of Chunnington socks (which he wants to wear every day!) and a Chunnington book. Eleanor got a pair of tinkerbell socks and some puffs. She LOVES her puffs!

Today Jarren starts his new job at Des Moines University. I can’t wait to hear how his first day goes. What a great new chapter in his career. So proud of him!
