T-ball

This was Hudsen's first year playing T-ball and he loved it!!! He had a blast with his friends and loved showing off to everyone that would come to watch him play. His games were on Thursday afternoons. Eleanor usually did really good watching her brother and it was nice that her friend Lucy was there also so they could play while the brothers were on the field. They were the 2 little cheerleaders.

Grandma was able to make it to a few games. She was a big help entertaining Eleanor and Lucy while Jack and Hudsen played.

On June 8th Uncle Jeffy married the perfect girl for him, Aunt Lina. Although Lina was not officially an Aunt until that day, Hudsen and Eleanor have always called her Aunt Lina as she has always been a part of our family since before the kids were born. We love her just as much as we love Uncle Jeffy.

The kids, Jarren and I had the great pleasure to be a part of the wedding. Hudsen took his job as ring bear extremely serious. He had practiced and when it came time for him the walk down the isle with Eleanor as the flower girl, a person could see the Hudsen was all business. The kids did a great job as ring bear and flower girl. They both smiled for pictures and the tore it up that night on the dance floor. Below are a few pictures of the day.

Dad's 30th Birthday

Happy Birthday to you..Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday dear Daddy, happy birthday to you!!! On Wednesday Jarren turned 30 and we started the celebration a day early. Jarren has golf league on Wednesday and the kids didn't want to miss out on celebrating Dad's birthday, so on Tuesday we decorated the house, wrapped presents, and put together a playlist for a dance party. The dance party was full of break dancing and high kicks :)

The kids and I made a trip to get Dad's cake that afternoon.

Since he had golf league that night we thought we would surprise him with cake and pizza in the club house after golf. He was very surprised and happy with the cake and pizza after golf (and the kids were happy that there was plenty of cake leftover for breakfast the next morning :)

The many faces of Eleanor

This little girl makes her dad and mom smile everyday. She adores her brother and doesn't even mind being carted around to his activities. She loves running around and being a little mischievous :). She loves going to school and playing with all her friends. A little social butterfly. Eleanor Faith you keep us on our toes and bring so much fun to our everyday life. Love you!!

Father's Day Celebration

This year for Father's Day, Hudsen and Eleanor wanted to celebrate with Dad by getting him some of his favorite things. Hudsen drew pictures of Dad fishing, driving and watering the plants.

Eleanor made a print for him and got him his favorite snack of peanut butter, graham crackers and chocolate chips.

We also put together a mini golf course for Dad and the kids to play when he got home from fishing.

At around 4 pm Dad came home from a 5 day fishing trip and the kids (and I) were beyond excited to see him. The kids instantly ran to him and gave him huge hugs. Charley was pretty excited to see him too. The family just doesn't feel right when we are not all together. After the hugs subsided, we had a nice afternoon of golfing, telling stories and sharing some of Daddy's snack.

Flag football

Flag football has come to an end for the season and Hudsen had a great time! He was so excited every Sunday afternoon to go and play. (He was also pretty excited that his Dad was his coach this time). Hudsen was animated on the field giving thumbs ups and telling us to take his picture when he would pull the flags. He also did a little "trash talking" to the other team that we quickly put to an end. (His trash talking consisted of saying "I'm blocking you" and making faces at the person he was blocking). After he scored a touchdown, he kept his celebration to a minimum and he was always there to high five his teammate when they would score.

Eleanor and Lucy watching their brothers play. Most of the time E wanted to pull the flowers or get out on the field but every now and then she would cheer for Hudsen.

At one game Hudsen had Grandma Pat and Grandpa Gary,Aunt Morgan, Uncle Kasey and Isabella and Uncle Jeff and Aunt Lina. At the game he scored 2 touchdowns and loved having everyone there to see him.

Grandma Kim and Grandpa Dave came to watch Hudsen play. He wanted to score a touchdown so bad that day but got some good runs and then his teammate finished the run with a touchdown.

Mother's Day

My Mother's Day started off with muffins with mom at the kid's school on Friday. It was so much fun to sit and have breakfast with them and talk about what they were going to do for the day. What made it extra great was how excited the kids were to have muffins with me. I hope that never changes!

I also received flowers from my AWESOME husband on Friday. It was great to get back from a run and have flowers there for me.

This year I was able to spend Mother's day with my mom. Grandma Pat and Grandpa Gary had come for the weekend to watch Hudsen's flag football game but it was a great bonus that we were able to spend Mother's Day together too.

We even were able to go out for a Mother's Day run together. I love going for a run with my mom and the talks that we have.

I had an amazing Mother's Day! Hudsen made me a card durning Sunday School and Eleanor made me a hand print picture at school. They also got me a card that made me smile and laugh. My kids are the best! It doesn't matter if they call me Mommy, Mom or "Hey Ma" I will ALWAYS be proud to be their Mother!
